Varada River

Varada river is a river in Shivamogga district and this river is a river in Central Karnataka. This river originates at Varadamool in Shivamogga district, then flows through Haveri and Bellary districts of Karnataka and joins Tungabhadra near Galaganath.

Varadamula is also known as Tirtha Gram. Dams are constructed near this river to provide water for irrigation and domestic purposes during summer. There are no major irrigation projects on this river.

Shivamogga is surrounded by beautiful natural spots including waterfalls, forests and hills, making it a favorite destination for nature lovers and trekkers. The serene atmosphere and pleasant climate of this region attracts tourists from different parts of the country.
