Doddanna
Doddanna, an Indian actor of Kannada cinema who has acted in about 800 films, was born on 11 November 1949 in Bhadravati. Doddanna, the youngest son of the family, belongs to the Lingayat community. The youngest son of the family, he was named Kadale Doddappa by his grandfather and his wife’s name Shanta.
He started his career as a theater actor at Vigneswara Kala Sanga in Bhadravati, during which he worked in a steel factory. He started a theater troupe named Gandharva Ranga with his friends. Later he entered the Kannada film industry.
Karnataka State Film Award for Best Supporting Actor, South Indian International Movie Awards 2012, SIIMA Award for Best Supporting Actor for Surasundarangi, Filmfare Awards South 2019 and other awards.
