Bharathi Vishnuvardhan

Bharti Vishnuvardhan was born on 15 August 1950 in Bhadravati. His father was V. M. Ramachandra Rao and his mother was Bhadravati Bai. He is primarily known for his work in Kannada cinema and television serials. She started her career in 1966 as the lead actress with the Kannada film Love in Bangalore, Dudde Doddappa’s first film release. Bharti married Vishnuvardhan in 1975.

Studied at Malleswaram Ladies Association (M.L.A) High School and later joined Maharani Women’s Science College, Bangalore. Although she was active in both sports and dance, her ambition at the time was to become a badminton player or an athlete. He represented the Karnataka state level throw-ball team during his college days.

She has received Padma Shri, Honorary Doctorate from Karnataka State Open University, Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actress for Sri Krishna Devaraya and many other awards.

Shivamogga is surrounded by beautiful natural spots including waterfalls, forests and hills, making it a favorite destination for nature lovers and trekkers. The serene atmosphere and pleasant climate of this region attracts tourists from different parts of the country.
