Archana Udupa

Archana Udupa is an Indian singer. He was born on 03 February 1979 from Nagara (Bidanur), Hosnagar, Shimoga district. His father, Srinivasa Udupa was an elder and a famous singer in Sugamam Sangeet Bhandavya. He was his first teacher. His grandfather was also a singer who played tabla or harmonium. So he enrolled me under a guru (Balakrishna) under whom I started learning Carnatic classical music at the age of 3.

He sings devotional, classical and film songs. She is a rated artist of All India Radio and Television. She won the Zee TV TVS Sa Re Ga Ma Pa singing competition in 1998. Archana Udupa is the first person of South Indian origin to win a Hindi film song singing competition. At present he has sung in more than 1000 cassettes and CDs.

She married Sriranga, son of lawyer and musician Shivamogga Subbanna, in 2002.

She won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer in 2012 for her song in the film Bhagirathi. She was a judge for the singing reality show Kannada Kogile for two seasons along with Chandan Shetty and Sadhu Kokila.

Many awards have been given for his talent. Navarasa Award, Aryabhata Award (1999-2000), Hemmeya Award (2000-2001), Sahyadri Award (2001-2002).

Shivamogga is surrounded by beautiful natural spots including waterfalls, forests and hills, making it a favorite destination for nature lovers and trekkers. The serene atmosphere and pleasant climate of this region attracts tourists from different parts of the country.
