Devagange
Devagange Kol is located in Hosnagar taluk of Shimoga district. If you go about 05 to 06 km from Bidanur city fort in Kollur maga9 to this pond, you will find a village called Baise. On the right side of this village are the ruined tombs of Keladi kings. Here a road goes to the right to the Deva Ganga, where there is a complex of magnificent swimming pools downstream of the Kings.
This pond was built during the time of the Keladi kings and is completely made of stone. A stone cradle model is constructed between the ponds constructed using slabs. Kalusanka to reach the cradle, Katanjana around the pond, pavatiges to descend into the pond are eye-catching. There are total 07 small ponds in the direction of water flow from the big pond. Various shapes, designs, and finishes are beautiful.
Built in a scientific model about 04 centuries ago, this pond is built at a depth of about 15 feet from the ground level. There is an Ishwara temple on one side of the pond. On the other side, it is said that there was a flower garden during the time of the kings.
