Seetha River

Seetha river is a river in Thirthahalli taluk of Shivamogga district. This river is a west-flowing river located in Shivamogga in the state of Karnataka, flowing mainly in Udupi district.

This river originates near Narasimha mountain, passes through the Agumbe forests, flows near Hebri, Barkur and joins the Arabian Sea at the confluence of the Suvarna River. During the rainy season the flow of water in the river rises to a high level.

The river joins small tributaries and turns into several waterfalls like Kudlu Falls, Barkana Falls, Jomlu Tirtha Falls etc. Adventure lovers also go for river rafting during June to October.

Shivamogga is surrounded by beautiful natural spots including waterfalls, forests and hills, making it a favorite destination for nature lovers and trekkers. The serene atmosphere and pleasant climate of this region attracts tourists from different parts of the country.
