Kunchikal Falls

Kunchikal waterfall is a waterfall located in Nidagodu village near Mastikate in Hosnagar taluk on the border of Shivamogga and Udupi districts. This waterfall is created by the Warahi River which plunges from a height of 1,493 feet. From Mani Dam, one can see the beauty of this waterfall by going through the inaccessible path of about 03 km through the forest.

Kunchikal Falls is located at a distance of 96.7 km from Shivamogga and 40.6 km from Hosanagar.

Kunchikal falls is a tourist destination and hence there are transport facilities to reach the falls. A number of private operators offer vehicles on hire to travel to the falls by road. The nearest railway station to travel to the falls by train is at Udupi, 67 km from Agumbe. Shimoga railway station is 97 km from the falls.
