Champaka Sarasi
Champaka Sarassu is located in Anandpur, Sagar Taluk, Shimoga District, Karnataka State. The pond built by Keladi king Venkatappa Nayaka in memory of his beloved wife Champaka is the beautiful pond known today as Champaka Sarasi.

The small stone shiva linga which was regularly worshiped in the palace in the Champaka fort has been installed in the stone temple in the middle of the Champaka Sarasu pond (you have to go through a stone path). Opposite this shiva linga is a small stone basavanna
History of Champaka Sarasi
Keladi King Venkatappa Nayaka got married to the enchanting rangoli drawn by Champakalu, a beauty of the Bestara clan. Bhadramaji, the queen of Pattada who opposed this inter-caste marriage, sacrificed her life by giving up food, so that Champaka committed suicide by drinking milk mixed with diamond powder because of the spread of false news and the citizens treated King Venkatappa as villains. This monument was built in memory of his beloved wife Champaka. Sarasi.
